Getting Started with Rephraser

Welcome to Rephraser! This guide will help you get up and running in minutes.

What is Rephraser?

Rephraser is an AI-powered writing assistant that gives you clearer rewrites without breaking your flow. Use copied text or open an input window whenever you need to write from scratch.

Quick Start

    Download Rephraser for your platform (macOS or Windows)

    Sign in with your Google account. Sign-in is required before Rephraser can process requests, and Rephraser is free for signed-in users.

    Choose a provider from the tray menu. OpenCode has selectable free models and needs no API key; Google Gemini uses your own key.

    If you choose Gemini, enter your API key through the tray's Enter API Key option.

    Start rephrasing! Copy at least 15 characters and press Ctrl + R on macOS or Alt + R on Windows. You can also open input window with Ctrl/Alt + Shift + R.
